Dreaming of Gold Rosarita Drop Earrings

I may have a slight obsession with Rosarita. It is not actually a stone, but rather a slag glass that is the by-product of gold refinement in the 60’s and 70’s. Gold is the element that makes glass red, which means the colors you’ll find in this material are outstanding and run the gamut from deep russet to a brilliant fire engine red. These cabochons are really awesome with their multicolored swirls. I love this size of earring — it’s comfortable for all-day wear and doesn’t get in the way, but still provides a lot of pop.
